You can walk through the hallways of Lyndale Place almost any day of the week and smell the wonderful scents of good – even great – cooking. And starting in just a few weeks, there will be a wonderful way to get super fresh groceries to make your pick of culinary delights.
This summer, Chicago will once again be sponsoring Farmer’s Markets in various neighborhoods throughout the city, including Logan Square and Bucktown. Can I get a wahoo?
Beginning June 3rd, the Logan Square Farmer’s Market will be held every Sunday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Head over to the intersection of Logan Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue to pick from the freshest local produce and eat healthy! The season lasts until October 28th.
Wicker Park and Bucktown also hold a joint Farmer’s Market every Sunday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the corner of Wicker Park and Damen.
One of the great aspects of the Farmer’s Markets is that the produce is always fresh, since the farmers bring their goods directly from the fields to the market. Plus, it’s inexpensive, and both the Logan Square and Wicker Park/Bucktown Markets accept the LINK card as a form of payment.
Get out there and get fresh!
