One of the many perks of living at Renaissance West is that we’re so close to so many city attractions. Among the long list is the Congress Theatre at 2135 North Milwaukee. It’s practically around the corner!
I wanted to invite all of you to one of its great events. It’s an indoor music and art festival on May 20th – so how can you not go?
Join me at the Congress – the doors open at 5pm. Save $5 by getting your tickets in advance ($10) or buy them at the door for $15. Chicago’s Metromix describes the event as a full sensory experience sponsored by My Daily Escape and Myhabanero.com. Both companies are “dedicated to supporting Chicago’s talented artists and musicians, educating the public on cultural diversity, and providing the City of Chicago with events that promote community involvement.”
The festival brings together a host of artists and artistic styles. There will be live music, art stations, body painting and much more. Plus, there’s the added bonus of gifts for all attendees. Open bar and free appetizers are from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
It’s one of Chicago’s largest indoor music and art festivals in one of Chicago’s historic landmarks. I encourage all of you to come out and take a stroll through lovely Logan Square.
