Creatures of the Night – scary, right?

Weekends throughout Halloween will be full of fun and frights during Brookfield Zoo’s Creatures of the Night event. If you’re not too afraid of things that go bump in the night, you can enjoy nine haunted evenings of fall fears!

The bravest souls can take their chances on The Trail of Terror, board The Haunted Tram for adventure through Zombieville, watch the Pumpkin Executioner in action. How about if you try to find your way through the 7000-square-foot Crazed Maze? Or take a look at the hit exhibit Xtreme BUGS and see our favorite (EEEK!) bugs in an eerie new light.

Additionally, zoogoers can encounter some more familiar creatures of the night in The Swamp and Australia House – from toothy crocodiles and slithering snakes, to the Rodrigues fruit bats, who boast a 3-foot wingspan! At Hamill Family Play Zoo, kids can participate in a variety of Halloween-themed crafts and activities. During the special Halloween event, several of the zoo’s restaurants and gift shops will also be open.

Parking is free after 6:00pm. Activities are free with paid admission of $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11, and seniors 65 and better. Hey! Brookfield Zoo members pay half price. (Children 2 and under are free.) Events take place Fridays-Sundays through October 28, from 6:30pm-10:30pm.

The Zoo’s website has loads more good information!

Brookfield Zoo isn’t the only place taking part in the fall festivities, you know. Right here at Lyndale Place, we’re going to join in on the fun. We may not have pumpkin-eating polar bears, but we do have good things in store. For all our ghouls and goblins, come down to the office and grab a treat! We’ll be handing out tasty surprises to our friendly costumed trick or treaters!

How can you miss?
