Hey, you Lincoln Parkers! Take a quick stroll and join in the annual fun, free, family-oriented holiday celebration at Lincoln Park Zoo. The famous spectacle features luminous displays and holiday-season activities spread throughout the zoo grounds.
Zoo Lights, presented by ComEd and Charter One, will shine each Friday-Sunday from 5-9 PM until December 26th. Afterward, the lights will stay on nightly until January 6th. But hey! Santa heads back to the North Pole after December 23, so if you want to see him, you’d better start now.
Here just some of the fun you’ll have at Zoo Lights:
- Photos with Santa through December 23
- Free holiday crafts
- Animal encounters
- New 3-D displays
- Warm spiced wine and frosty lagers
- Delicious dinner and snacks
- Holiday gift shopping
- Live ice carving every night
- Carousel and train rides
- Musical light show
Zoo Lights will also be doing a coat drive, and donated items will be distributed to Chicago charities. Donation boxes will be located in the Gateway Pavilion and Park Place Cafe. So sling on your coat and bring an extra!
